What does it mean? Imam is saying something in the last prayer, everyone says, "Ameen". What did he say? Then more and they say, "Ameen". And then several times same thing, more "Ameen". As I stand in Witr Salah of Taraweh, tired and exhausted from long day of work and fasting, my mind starts to wonder - I don't know what this extra prayer really means, except so many are being moved and crying. But, here's me just standing there wondering when will it stop. At last! Now we have it - TRANSLATION OF THE DUA OF WITR! Wonderful translation, beautifully recited (IN ENGLISH) most common dua used during the late night Witr prayers. We ask Allah to bless the brother and his family who sent us this wonderful chance to feel the depth and meaning of one of the most powerful things in the taraweh witr salat. Jazakumallahu khairan to all. Please share if you care - do it now, inshallah. Note: Brother reciting in English is Ammar AlShukry. Make dua for him in your prayers for success in this life and in the Hereafter, ameen.
