Favorite Movies/Shows: Anything to do with Yosuf Estes, since he makes good sense MASHLALAH. My husband likes a scholar who is cool too.....forgotten his name....urm.....I'll update my profile when I remember the name - the asian scholar who is also a medical doctor. Dr Zakir Naik.
Favorite Music: Nasheeds such as Zain Bhikha, but I don't like 'Islamic raps' because they often have bells on their tamberines...wander if I've spelt that correctly... I forced myself to stop listening to english music a few years back, as I learnt that it was Islamically wrong, althought I did enjoy it very much.
Favorite Books: "A Gift for a woman". It's a lovely pink thick book. This is an Islamic guid for females on topics that would be relevant to them, throughout their lives INSHALLAH. I really love this other book too, called "The Prophets' Wives" (SAW, peace and blessings on the wives). I like the poetic sounds of the Holy Quran, and the wording especially. It would be great if I understood Arabic, as I have to depend on the English translation, and I have seen a few slight differences when explaining the same verse already, depending on the translator.
